GSB Architecture was established by Greg S. Balderree, AIA Architect | CGBP | LEED AP, in Sacramento, California in 1989 with the mission to always provide high level design and professionalism, while creating lasting partnerships in search of excellence. In 2006 GSB wanted to be closer to the beautiful and majestically inspirational Sierra mountain range and decided to expand services to El Dorado Hills. Since then Greg’s office has excelled to be among top El Dorado Hills Architects, most notably for his passion to design ecologically within nature, while incorporating the latest technologies and environmentally-green innovations. “We believe good design is good practice, without a premium. GSB Architecture is about bringing strong design and management skills to create enduring value for our clients, for any conceivable building type and market climate. No matter the scope of the project, no matter the cost, a better design will always result in a quality experience for the end user and a higher return on investment for the owner/builder/developer. We continually strive to improve our designs by carefully listening to our clients throughout the creative process”.

Philosophy:
We are committed to listening, collaborating, creative thinking, and problem solving to bring the best value to our client’s dollars, necessary to ensure architectural quality and excellence. We are committed to fulfilling all programmatic requirements, desires and wishes of our client’s, as well as communicating our philosophy and vision, with innovative design that speaks to the unique constraints and opportunities of each project. We design to preserve natural resources, respect water and energy conservation and generation, integrate effective passive and active solar strategies, optimize indoor air quality, optimize daylighting and views, design high-performance thermal envelopes and maximize energy efficiencies to be environmentally conscious for a greener, healthier, sustainable future. Today’s homes and buildings must be well-designed, healthier, to resist the harmful effects of the elements, and meet higher standards from design through occupancy and operation, while reducing contribution to ozone depletion and global warming.
